SURVEY TRIGONOMETRY
Recommended Prerequisite(s): GEOMETRY and TRIGONOMETRY REVIEWS

This course introduces the use of basic trigonometry relating to survey calculations. Topics include rectangular and polar coordinate systems, bearings and azimuths, traverse and inverse, and solutions to intersections of lines and circles. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to use basic trigonometry to compute solutions to a variety of survey-related problems.

  • Rectangular and Polar Coordinates
  • Bearings and Azimuths
  • Traverse and Inverse
  • Orientation to a Known Line
  • Intersetions
    • Line-Line Intersections
    • Line-Circle Intersections
    • Circle-Circle Intersections
